The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has launched a 30-member campaign committee to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. The committee, named "Cross River APC Grassroots Mobilization," aims to strengthen the party's presence at the local level and ensure voter engagement.

The move comes as the APC continues to consolidate its political base across Nigeria, with leaders emphasizing the importance of stability and unity in the lead-up to the next electoral cycle. In Bauchi State, a loyalist of Tinubu praised the Nigeria Customs Service for its role in maintaining revenue and border security, highlighting the party's focus on administrative reforms.

Meanwhile, in Osun State, APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji called for peace following the August 15 election, meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa to discuss the need for calm amid political tensions. Governor Ademola Adeleke also reaffirmed his commitment to the Accord Party, dismissing rumors of a potential defection to the APC.

Political shifts continue as former Niger PDP chairman Tanko Beji defected to the APC, signaling ongoing realignments in the country's political landscape. These developments underscore the dynamic nature of Nigerian politics as parties prepare for the next major electoral event.
