Meanwhile, in Osun State, APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji called for peace following the August 15 election, meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa to discuss the need for calm amid political tensions. Governor Ademola Adeleke also reaffirmed his commitment to the Accord Party, dismissing rumors of a potential defection to the APC.
