President Bola Tinubu has approved key health sector projects, including the overhaul of the National Hospital in Abuja and a N302 billion Cancer Treatment Centre. The initiatives aim to improve healthcare infrastructure and services across the country.
Meanwhile, Vice President Kashim Shettima highlighted Tinubu’s efforts to expand economic and infrastructural opportunities nationwide. He inaugurated a 33.5km dual carriageway in Rivers State, emphasizing the president’s focus on development beyond major cities.
Over 200 students from the University of Calabar have sued the institution and Tinubu over their removal from the Faculty of Law. They seek N5 billion in damages, claiming the decision disrupted their academic progress.
Civil society groups have praised Tinubu’s appointment of Dr Abel Enitan as Head of the Civil Service, noting the emphasis on experience and professionalism in governance.
